Captivating Wildlife was created by Scott Bourne and David Middleton, both professional nature photographers, who collected photos from America's top ten emerging wildlife photographers.
The images were chosen through a nationwide contest held last year. More than 600 photographers submitted images for consideration. The best ten were selected and are showcased in this four-color, 8 ˝ by 11-inch book.
“We wanted every picture in this book to be a work of art,” says Bourne. “Due to the difficulty of photographing many of these wildlife subjects, we believe many people will never have seen images of this quality.”
The book features photographs of a Siberian tiger, mountain lions, bobcats, grey and Arctic foxes, tundra wolves, woodpeckers, Black bears, a golden eagle and Harris hawk, among others.
“The wildlife photographs shared with us in Captivating Wildlife evoke a wonder of nature and the subjects around us,” says Darrell Gulin, president of the North America Nature Photography Association. “Scott and David have put together a wonderful selection of images. Captivating Wildlife is a true celebration of this special relationship between humans and animals.”
